The City Council of the City of Burlingame determines and finds upon the basis of an engineering study and a traffic survey that the speed limit permitted by state law for certain vehicles hereinafter particularly described is more than is reasonable and safe for any of said vehicles descending the grade on all portions of Trousdale Drive, a highway under the jurisdic- tion of the City of Burlingame, and that a speed limit of 25 miles per hour for such vehicles is found to be more appropriate to facilitate the orderly movement of traffic and is reasonable and safe for such vehicles. Said City Council therefore ordains as follows: Section 1: §13.25.010 is hereby added to the Municipal Code of the City of Burlingame and shall read and provide as follows: 1"§13.25.010 - Twenty-five miles per hour for certain vehicles. No person shall drive any motor truck or truck - tractor having three or more axles or any motor truck or truck - tractor drawing any other vehicle at a speed in excess of twenty- five (25) miles per hour in descending the grade on all portions of Trousdale Drive. This section does not apply to any bus hav- ing three or more axles." Section 2: The Director of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to procure appropriate signs giving notice of such speed limit and to erect the same along Trousdale Drive. Section 3: This ordinance shall be effective 30 days after its adoption or when said signs are thereafter erected, whichever shall first occur. -1- Section 4: This ordinance shall be published as re- quired by law. I, HERBERT K.
