AN ORDINANCE ADDING CHAPTER 3.17 TO THE MUNI-
CIPAL CODE AND DEFINING THE DUTIES OF THE
DIRECTOR OF RECREATION
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Chapter 3.17 is added to the Burlingame
Municipal Code and shall read and provide as follows:

"Chapter 3,17
DIRECTOR OF RECREATION
§3.17.010 - Duties: The Director of Recreation shall
plan, promote, organize and supervise a comprehensive municipal
recreation program and administer the same in the interest of the
entire community, and shall:
(1) Supervise Recreation Areas: Supervise the recrea-
tional use of playgrounds, play fields, recreation centers,
swimming pools, ball diamonds, basket ball courts, golf
courses, boating areas, and such other recreation areas and
facilities as may be made available to carry out the City's
recreation program.
(2) Conduct Community Activity: Conduct and supervise
any form of recreational, social or cultural activity that
will employ the leisure time of the citizens in a wholesome
and constructive manner.
(3) Recreation Commission: Attend all meetings of the
Park and Recreation Commission and aid and advise it in the
performance of its duties.
(4)- Other Functions: Perform such other duties and fun�-
as may be, from time to time, fixed and prescribed by the
City Manager.

Section 2: This ordinance shall be published once as re-
quired by law.

and adopted thereafter at a regular meeting of the City Council
