A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
APPROVING THE PROCUREMENT OF SIX VEHICLES AND ONE VEHICLE/PIECE OF
EQUIPMENT FOR THE CITY'S FLEET SYSTEM, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE PROCUREMENT
WHEREAS, in March and April, 2017, the City issued Requests for Bids (RFB) for the
procurement of six vehicles and one vehicle/piece of equipment; and
WHEREAS, four vendors submitted the lowest responsible bids for the procurement in
the total amount of $397,975.07 as follows:
• One Patcher/Paving Truck (P -B Model BC -4) at the bid price of $222,742.30 from
Nixon -Egli Equipment Company located in Tracy, California;
• Two Ford Taurus vehicles (Model SE) at the bid price of $61,069.76, and two
Ford Fusion Hybrid vehicles at the bid price of $55,882.38 from Town Ford Sales
located in Redwood City, California;
• One Toyota Truck at the bid price of $32,510.70 from Toyota 101 located in
Redwood City, California; and
• One Ford Cargo Van at the bid price of $25,769.93 from the Ford Store located
in San Leandro, California.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, and it is hereby ORDERED, the above
submitted responsible bids are approved and adopted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the four lowest responsible bids for said purchases in
the amount of $397,975.07 are accepted, and the City Manager or her designee is authorized to
execute the above said procurement.
I, MEAGHAN HASSEL-SHEARER, City Clerk of the City of Burlingame, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held
on the 5T" day of JUNE, 2017, and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: BEACH, BROWNRIGG, COLSON, KEIGHRAN, ORTIZ
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: NONE
