HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 083-2018RESOLUTTON NO. 083-2018 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME AUTHORIZING POSITION AMENDMENTS WHEREAS, under the City of Burlingame Civil Service Rules, adopted pursuant to Municipal Code Section 3.52.030, the City Council is the final authority for approving the classification and compensation plan; and WHEREAS, the proposed changes are as detailed below o Add a 1-0 full-time equivalent (FTE) Police Officer position in the Police Department;. Delete a 0.8 FTE Program Outreach Specialist position in the Parks and Recreation Department;. lncrease a 0-75 FTE Program Coordinator position in the Parks and Recreation Department to 1 .0 FTE;o lncrease a 0.63 FTE Librarian I position in the Library Department to 1.0 FTE;. Decrease a 1.0 FTE Library Assistant ll position in the Library Department to 0.63 FTE; and WHEREAS, the basis for the proposed changes is fully detailed in the staff report for this item on the June 18, 2018 City Council agenda; and WHEREAS, the proposed changes are contingent upon adoption ofthe Fiscal Year 2018- 19 Budget; and WHEREAS, the bargaining units representing the impacted classifications have reviewed the proposed changes and have not brought forth any objections or concerns. NOW THEREFORE, BE lT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Burlingame finds, orders, and declares that: 1. The Council approves the addition of a '1.0 FTE Police Officer position in the Police Department; and 2. The Council approves the deletion of a 0.8 FTE Program Outreach Specialist position in the Parks and Recreation Department; and 3. The Council approves the increase of a 0.75 FTE Program Coordinator position in the Parks and Recreation Department to 1.0 FTE; and 5. The Council approves the decrease of a 1.0 FTE Library Assistant ll position in the Library Department to 0.63 FTE. 4.
