TRUSTEE KRILOFF MEMORIAL:
I know all of you are as saddened by the death of Leo
Kriloff as the staff is . I think we may want to consider the
donation of an appropriate book to the Library in his memory.
We 'll talk about it at the meeting.
BOARD OF TRUSTEES:
The Interview Committee of the City Council will be
reporting to the full Council at its regular meeting of September
17th , regarding appointments to the Library Board . I'll give
you a report on Tuesday.
DUNCAN PATIO:
Work is almost completed on the patio. Arrangements
are under way for the staff party, and the dedication and open
house . I hope you all received your invitations for both events .
There are some final decisions regarding the party that I' d
like to discuss with you. We will also have a complete and
up to date financial report ready for your meeting regarding
the patio funds .
PERSONNEL:
Al and I have interviewed 10 candidates for the Librarian
I positions , and the top two candidates (out of 9 ) for the Librarian
III. We hope to be able to announce the new appointments at
your meeting.
GEAC:
Lois Kershner , Project Director for PLAN , conducted
two half-day training sessions for reference staff on the use
of the circ system for reference purposes . Lois is an excellent
