Possible policy change on leaf blowers 1. CALL TO ORDER – 7:00 p.m. – Council Chambers 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG 3. ROLL CALL 4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES – Regular Council Meeting of April 18, 2011 5. PRESENTATION a. Presentation of Green Business Certification award to Facilities Manager Johnson Woo 6. PUBLIC HEARINGS a. Appeal of Traffic, Safety and Parking Commission recommendation regarding red curb zone at 2805 Adeline Drive b. Adopt an Ordinance designating two hour parking limit and installation of associated signage along Trousdale Drive and Marco Polo Way (8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, holidays excepted) 2 Any writings or documents provided to a majority of the City Council regarding any item on this agenda will be made available for public inspection at the Water Office Counter at City Hall located at 501 Primrose Road during normal business hours. c. Public Hearing and adoption of Broadway Area Business Improvement District assessments for fiscal year 2011-2012 d. Public Hearing and adoption of a Resolution amending the City of Burlingame master fee schedule for fiscal year 2011-2012 effective July 1, 2011 7. PUBLIC COMMENTS – At this time, persons in the audience may speak on any item on the agenda or any other matter within the jurisdiction of the Council. The Ralph M. Brown Act (the State local agency open meeting law) prohibits Council from acting on any matter that is not on the agenda. Speakers are requested to fill out a “request to speak” card located on the table by the door and hand it to staff. The Mayor may limit speakers to three minutes each. 8. STAFF REPORTS AND COMMUNICATIONS a. Introduce an Ordinance adding Chapter 8.10 to the Burlingame Municipal Code to prohibit food vendors from using polystyrene based disposable food service ware b. Police shared services – Recommendation to develop implementation plan for possible joint police dispatch/records with the City of San Mateo c. Consider appointments to the Library Board of Trustees 9. APPROVAL OF CONSENT CALENDAR a. Adopt a Resolution authorizing continued participation in the City/County Association of Governments of San Mateo County (C/CAG) and approval of the joint powers agreement b. Adopt a Resolution approving a three-year agreement with Brown Armstrong Accountancy Corporation to serve as the City of Burlingame’s independent external financial auditors with option to extend for two additional years c. Adopt a Resolution accepting FY 2009-10 street micro-surfacing program by Graham Contractors, Inc. 10. COUNCIL COMMITTEE AND ACTIVITIES REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS Council Members report on committees and activities and make announcements. 11.
