Foley meeting instead of Comrn. Fehlhaber. Approved opened the as corrected. CURRENT BUSINESS: Crosswalk at Lorton and Bellevue Avenues Staff continuing surveillance. OLD BUSINESS: 50-50 Muffler 12O EI Camino Real . Situation quiet. Drop from agenda. NEW BUSINESS: Petition to close Oxfordr/Canrbridge Roads entrance to El Camino Rea1.. A petition signed by 7l% of residents on Oxford and Cambridge Roadsfor closure of the intersection at El Camino Real and the northerly entrance to EI Camino ReaI from Highway Road had been referred tothe coinmission. staff reported that only temporary barricades shouldbe instal]ed until it ls discovered how it works. This would leave onLy the Mills Avenue/Highway Road means of entering or exiting toEl Camino ReaI. The Mills Avenue intersection has Iimited sightdistance and will eventually require a signal if closure becomespermanent. Operation of signals on E1 Camino Real and Adeline Drive-- Oxford/Cadbirdge Roads will need reviewing with State. !,loved by Commissioner Foley to recofiunend temporary closure. Seconded by Commissioner Kreling. Unanimously approved. I Burlingame Avenue Area Parkinq. After discussion, Chairman Graham noved to recomrnend reduction of exemption to 7,500 s.f., raise thein-lieu fee to 50% of updated cost, increase parking fees on meters and lots provided the amount collected above the past five years average would be ear-marked for a parking improvement fund, and thatthe city attempt to form another parking district for new construction. Seconded by Commissioner FoLey, the motion carried three to one, commissioner Krering voted no because she felt the in-lieu fee should be at least 60%. 2 Parking and stopping problem on Fox I,1a11 Lane. Ttris twenty-foot alley is developing problems. "No Stopping or Parking" signs will be installed in accordance with Code Section 13.32.090, Lf no objection. Commissioners did not object.
