A discussion was conducted regarding removal of a portion of the exist-ing red zone at the easterly side oi califorrria Drive between sanchezAvenue and carmelita Avenue. Mr. costelro presented the concerns ofthe loca1 businesses regarding lack of parking.

Bicycle facilities Retain on agenda. No action this meeting.
OLD BUSINESS
Commissioners reviewed the map showing existing loading zones in the
Burlingatne Avenue Area. Decided to maintain status-quo for present.
Proposed that a. field review of land-use status be conducted every
five years by Commissioners, with first review to take place in
\Tanuary, I980 .
Commissioner Aliamus commented on recurrent problem of vehicles park-
ing in driveh/ays, which block sidewalk for pedestrian use.
NEW BUSINESS
Traffic Engineer presented copies of.an inter-office memo commenting
on The Draft EIR for the proposed Holiday Inn on Airport Blvd.
Discussion was conducted regarding deleting mid-block crosswalk which
is 340 feet north of the north curb line of Oak Grove Avenue on
California Drive. A unanimous recommendation 'nras made that it be
deleted be.cause of changes in land usage in the area.
Chairman Graham brought to the Commissionersr attention that some
residential-type buildings in the area of L2L4 to L22O Donnelly.Avenue
do not seem to be occupied and might be available for purchase for a
new parking facility. The Commission unanimously agreed that this
be brought to the attention of the City Council.

The meeting adjourned at 10:30 p.m.
