CURRENT BUSINESS:
Burl ingame Avenue Area Parking.Discussion of Chairman Foley' s
memorandum. Priorities assigned:
Soliciting corurunity and Chadber input
- Redesigning lots for compact cars
- AL1 streets one side al1-day parking outside of
inmediate business district
- Re-exatnining hours allotred in lots
- EstabLiehi.ng evening parking fees
- Increasing meter rates
- Increasing flne rates
- Establiehing parking fund from revenues
- Evaluating parking permit ).ots
- Defining scope of parking structure
- Utilizing expertE to design and finance structure
- Constructing parking structure
!1r. Don spencer of the Chambe r of CoErnerce made a brief preliminary
presentation of some parking improvements being considered by the
Chamber. staf,f to ascertain how increased parking fines would be
shared among public agencies. The comnission authorized a study
meeting with the Chanibe r to discus8 the proposals in depth on April 24,
usua] tiJoe and place.

Rental of, parking spaces on City parking lots.Ir{otion by com. craham,
seconded by Com. Fehlhaber, that fees for monthly parking on Lot H be
collected on a monthly basis rather than three-month basis. Unanimously
approved.

Chmn. Foley relayed question by Com. Kreling about Hike Ilarvey
parking vehicles along cal.ifornia Drive. staff rePorted that the
problem seems to be solved. Vehicles gone.
NEW BUSINESS:
Com. FehLhaber suggested that additional crosswalks were needed on
the southerly side of the Broadway/Rotlins Road intersection. staff
will investigate and rePort.
