AII Conmissioners preseat, Staff present Friedberg and Moore. Pledge of Allegiance 1ed by Commissioner Cappa. CURRENT BUSINESS 4.1.1 Approval of minutes of Juiy 9, I981 . 4.1 ,? Foley reviewed City Council minutes of July 20' and Planning Commission minutes of July 27, 1%1 . 4.1.3 Stop sign on Hillside Circle at Hillside Drive - After-a general dis- cus!ion-of the suggestion including the low traffic volumes on Hillside Circle, the low accident rate, the fact that assignment of right of way ula s neccessary for left turning vehicles only and that right turning irehicles rvould treat a new stop sign as a yield sign because of the close proximity of the existing stop sign on Hillside Drive. It t,las proposed that the Commission recormend to the City Council that a yield sign be installed rather than a stop sign. Five yes and two noes vote passed the moti on . 4.1.4 Cam br i d gelOxford closure - After a general discussion of the current status it was the consensus that this item be moved to the Inactive Iterns, unti l signal revision is initiated. INACTIVE ITEI.IS 5.'l old Business - It was suggested that the installation of pedestrian signal heads requested-of CALTRANS at Broadway and Rollins Road be returned to the Inactive List so it nould not be forgotten. 5.2.1 The Cormission was informe d of the current status. CALTRANS has employed a consultant for corridor study. 5 .2.2 E'A Red curbs on Rollins Road north of Toyon - No discussion. Parkin Stu - There was some discussion of studying the ms in the Broadway area.
