5.'l..l SBRR Consol idation - Crossing Gates, Traffic Engr' stated it uould
be necessary to go to the PUC for any adiustments in the timer on
the crossing gates. Placed on inactive I ist.
Red Curbs on Rollins Road North of Toyon - No Discussion.
Parking Study - Congestion of Burlingame traffic and parking was.
discus-sed and numbei of parking spaces. More information is needed
on parking deficiency. Loading zones were discussed; any problems
will be brought up for discussion. Commissioner Foley will gather
i nformati on for future di scus si on.
Comnissioner EII is discussed parking meters at Post Office stating
that some were of longer parking terms than others. Suggested
meters for short term parking should be closer to the Post Office.
5,1.4 Airport/Bayshore Signals - Staff reported that CALTRANS had received
prel iminary pI ans.

5.1.6 Bikeway Improvements - Dropped, will bring back later when more

5.t.7 Speed Limit for Hillside Drive - Five residents of Hillside Drive
were in attendance. Each expressed oppos;tion to the Iimit being
increased, They feel with the heavy traffic presently on Hillside,to increase the speed Iimit vould create more problems and could
even become more hazardous. 0ne resident expressed her concern
to the point that if something beneficia'l was not done, she wouldput her home up for sale. They feel that Hillside could be made
safer by just installing tro stop signs. They would feel comfortable
with this.
It was suggested by Ch, Fehl haber that traffic counts be made of
other surrounding streets so that a comparison can be made. A
recommendation will be made based on the results of research done
on tra ffi c counts.
Item was closed until studies are completed. No specific time was
set for study completion. More background is needed before a
decision can be made. Residents of Hillside Drive wili be informed
as to further action and progress, also when further di scussion will
be opened regarding traffic on Hillside Drive.
