" Two represent-atives from th6 Chamber of Commerce attended themeeting. They informed the Commission that they hadalready discussed the problem with the merchantsalong the Burlingame Avenue shopping district,xelative to the short and long-term parking in Lotthe Avenue. 4.2 Discusslon Itens. OrDonnell to make contact with the merchantsin this area and get information from them regardingthe type of of parking that vJould be suitable forthemi whether one-hour or two-hour parking meters. He wil]' bring this information to the Yfay.L2 meeting. See visitors' Il-st for merchants attending themeeting. Intersection of Cortez and Carmelita - Request for Four-Way Stop Signs (M. Chahal., 1040 Cortez. ) Eight residents of this area attended the meeting,expressing their concerns of the hazards lnvolvedwith speeding vehj.cles traveling on CarmeLita fromHillsborough and approaching the intersectlon ofCarmelita and EI Camino Real . They a].so discussedthe accidents which have occurred here over the pastrecent years. Resident of 1O40 Cortez recently hadextensive damage to her house and yard from vehiclespeeding, out of control and coming to a stop in heryard. She presented pictures of the damage to herproperty. After hearing the various compl,aints from resldents,the Commission will visit this area before the nextmeeting. Traffic Engineer wilI get traffic volume and history of accidents in this area for recentyears and bring to the May meeting. This item $rill be on the Agenda for the May 12meeting for Discussion.
