Staff reported to the Commission onvarious parking 1ots.converting
Staff recommended: Lot R, 34/2-rro:ur meters beinstalled, replaclng the existing 2-hour signedparking; 72 /z-}Iour meters be installed in Lot
Q, replacing twelve of the lo-hour meters andleaving twelve lo-hour meters; lL/2-Irorur metersbe installed in Lot R, replacing fourteen ofthe l0-hour meters and leaving 14/1o-hour
meters .
The cost of converting 60lJ.O-hour meters at S43each is approximately S3,O00. Lot R wouldrequire meter posts at a cost of g6OO andsigning changes would cost S4OO for a total of
s4, o00 .
Presently there are no changes recomrnended forLot T.
Comm. Evans recommended following staff's
commendation; seconded by Comm. Simonettii
animously approved by the Commissj-on.
4. 1.3 Traffic and Parking Problems - Anita Road.

Residents attending meeting reported that
employees are stil1 parking on the street,
making it difficult sometimes to get in and out
of driveways. Also that customers of Putnam
Buick are parking on the street and the problem
is still the same, no improvement.
Staff reported to Commission that the Planning
Department is monitoring the parking at this
location.
After some discussion between the commission
and staff, Comrnission directed staff to send a
Letter to the Planning Department and the City
Attorney, addressing all points that have been
discussed.
One resident attending meeting suggested that
maybe there are more employees with Putnam
Buick now than what they had at the time the
use permit was issued.

4.2 Discussion Items.
Sgt. Harris reported there has been more en-
forcement i cars are moving at expiration of
two-hour parking meters. After some dis-
cussion by the Commission, it was motioned and
seconded (Comm. Herold/Evans ) to deny this
requesti unanimously approved by Commission.
Request to Convert Diagonal Parking Space from
6o-Minutes to 24-Minutes - 1402 Burlingame
Avenue (Haag'n Haag photo service).
After some discussion, it was motioned and
seconded (Conm. Simonitti /O ' Donn611 ) to grant
this request. unanimoulsy approved by
Commission.
Request for Safety Sign and Red Curb
74L/76L Roll j-ns Road.
The Chairman addressed this as not being any
more of a problem than at other locations
along Ro1l j.ns Road. It was suggested that
drivers stay back behind the sidesralk before
entering Rollins Road, since visibility was
okay there, whereas the trees and any large
vehicles could obstruct the view at the curb
line.
It was motioned and seconded (Comm. O'Donne11/
Koenigs) to deny this requesti unanimously ap-

Several residents of this area attended themeeting. Staff delivered letters to this arearequesting input regarding removal of theseStop signs. Many letters were returned

Commission motioned and seconded to move thisitem to an action item; unanimously approved.This request was then unanimously denied by the
Commi s sion.

Chairman OrDonnell had vlsited this location
and was not in favor of the side streetparking. He recommended handicap parking atthe bank and adding two diagional parking
spaces. After some discussion, Commissiondirected staff to write a letter to the
merchants of thLs area reporting what has been
dj-scussed at this meeting arrd request their op-inion.
