Request for Three (3) Ilandicap
West Side of Cortez Avenue.
Parking Spaces
Marie Louise Haseleu spoke to the Commissj.onregarding locations of the requested handi-
cap parking spaces and the need for them.After some discussion by the Commission, motion
was made and seconded (Comm. Evans/Holt) togrant two handicap parking spaces on the westside of Cortez Avenue adjacent to side of thechurch. This was unanimously approved by the
Commission.

Apple Cleaners, 190 Primrose
Ann Offield attended meeting. She spoke againto the Comnission regarding the parking meterproblem and how it is affecting her drycleaning business (App1e Cleaners)- She re-quested that the lo-hour parking meters on bothsides of Ho$rard Avenue from Primrose Roadto the Methodist Church be converted to I-hourparking meters .
Conm. O!Donnell visited 190 Primrose Road. andhe expressed there was a lack of enforce-
ment regarding the parking meters. After muchdiscussion by staff and Commission, it was
moved and, seconded (Comm. Evans/O rDonnell ) thatthe Commission consider converting the three(3) of the lO-hour meters on Primrose Avenue atthe side of Bros. Deli to 1-hour parkingmeters. Coflurl. Evans requested that staff
notify all merchants nearby in writing of this
considered change of the three meters and
request their input on this before the next
meeting on August 10, 1989.
This item wiII be on the Agenda under Action
Items for the August meeting.

Putnam Buick Request for Loading zone.
Hunter Bickley representing Putnam Buick,
expressed their need for this loading zone.
comm. Simonetti wiII visit the site and get
information regarding this and bring to the
August meeting. This item $riII be on the
Agenda under Discussion Items.
Comm. Evans discussed the problem with the
signal at Oak Grove and California Drive
railroad crossing. He had contacted Southern
Pacific and rdas informed that the signals
cannot be modified easily. The Traffic
Engineer reported that he had received the same
ans$rer from Southern Pacific.
Staff presented a diagram to the Commission of
the Parking Structure project which is being
constructed, showing the parking sPacesi a
total of 175 spaces.
