PREGER MICHAEL THOMPSON, 2224 D AYIS DR., BT'RL. -l- 2 J 4 Traffic, Safety and Parking Commission Minutes october 12, 1995 1. CALL TO ORDER. 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Mayer. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCETO THEFLAG. Comm. Evans ROLL CALL. 4 Commissioners present. CURRENT BUSINESS. 4,1 ACTION ITEMS. 4.1.1 Minutes of September 14, 1995 approved as submitted by the Commission. 4.1.2 Request for a Vision Safety Sign at Farringdon Lane and Oak Grove Avenue Commissioners felt that this iszue had been resolved last month and to be taken off the Agenda. 4,2 DISCUSSION ITEMS. 4.2.1 Request for 4-Way Stop Signs at Peninsula Avenue and Lorton Avenue Mr. Dellaway advised that red zones are requested. Comm. Amoroso viewed this site aDd stated the red zones are already on the San Mateo side and with the Stop signs on Lorton, the red zones provide visibility. Mr. Dellaway recommended following the City of San Mateo and after his review would recommend placing similar markings but not as extensive. This will be an Action item at the next meeting. 4.2.2 Request for Parking Permits/Increased Parking Spaces in Lorton/Peninsula Avenue Area This item is related to 4.2.1 and will be moved to an Action item at the next meeting. 4.2.3 Request for Stop Sign at Ray Drive and Davis Drive From the floor, Mr. Thompson stated there appears to be a blind spot at this location and at various times of the day hears cars screeching to slow down when making a left turn. He fears for children's safety. Comm. Amoroso viewed this site today and suggested a Caution sign. This will be atr Action item next month. Mr. Dellaway will provide a report on this intersection next month. -2- Traffic, Safety and Parking Commission Minutes 5. INACTIVE ITEMS. 5.1 6, NEW BUSINESS. 6.1 Request for Stop Sign on Belvedere Court at Summit Drive Comm. Simonetti advised that there is a Stop sign on Summit at Belvedere but sees potential for a problem. Mr. Dellaway advised that traffic volume is low and accidents are negligible. This will be a Discussion item next month. 7. INFORMATION ITEMS. FROM THE FLOOR.
