ROLL CALL. Two Commissioners present - quorum not fulfilled.
CIJRRENT BUSINESS.
4.1 ACTION ITEMS.
4.1.1 Minutes of July 13, 1995 stand with no corrections, pending
approval by Commission quorum.
4.1.2 Study to Consider Uniform Timing of Parking Meters on Howard
Avenue between Primrose Road and California Drive
Mr. Dellaway provided a report as requested by the Commission.
There is no indication for a need to propose uniform timing in this
area; therefore, staff recommends status quo with the Commission
acting on each request for green zones as they are received. He also
recommends green zones at 1245 Howard as requested by tenant.
Sgt. Haseleu agreed. Action will be recommended at next meeting.
4.2 DISCUSSION ITEMS.
4.2.1 Request to Council to Look at Funding for a Traffic Signal at Intersection
of California Drive and Carmelita Avenue
Mr. Dellaway advised that a Staff Report to City Council had been
prepared in June but was delayed; so it will be considered at their August
21st meeting. This item is low on the federal government's funding agenda.
This will be a Discussion item at the next meeting.
4.2.2 Request for a Stop Sign at Intersection of Oak Grove Avenue and Crossway
Road
From the floor, a comment was made that vehicles travel too fast on Oak

6. NEWBUSINESS.
6.1 Request for a "Vision Safety" Sign at Faringdon Lane and Oak Grove
From the floor, Ms. Rosekrans explained tley requested a sign set back from the
intersection so large trucks and vans can't park close to the intersection; it's a very
dangerous situation since you can't see cross traffic when hrrning onto Oak Grove
from Farringdon; and cars from El Camino Real speed down Oak Grove at over
35 mph.
Sgt. Haseleu advised that the City Attorney sent a letter on August 9, 1995 to the
owner of the uucks parking there advising that the trucks have to be parked on an
off-street commercial location; so the trucks will have to go.
Mr. Dellaway recommended height limit signs be placed for 40 feet from the
corner and be enforced by the Police Departrnent. This will be a Discussion item
next month.
INFORMATION ITEMS. None.
FROM THE FLOOR. No public comments.
