6. NEW BUSINESS,
6.1 Request for "No Overnight Parking" Sign on Gilbreth Road
Mr. Dellaway advised the problem is on the east side but parking there is legal.
Sgt. Tokarski spoke to petitioner and arranged for parking enforcement officers to
mark vehicles so that those parked for over 72 hours would be towed away. Only
one vehicle was towed since all others had been moved. Enforcement of this area
will continue which should help clear the area. It was moved and seconded
(Comms. Evans/Auran) to move this to an Inactive Item for a couple of months and
to review the status at that time to see effects of police enforcement. Unanimously
approved by the Commission.
6.2 Request for Red Zone on Arc Way
Mr. Dellaway advised that the petitioner called to withdraw request.
6.3 Request for Stop Sign on Larkspur Drive and Related Issues
From the floor, petitioner Marianne Saucedo advised that there are tfuee concerns:
(1) Commercial vans ftom Rollins Road aparEnent dwellers park on their street for
a week at a time which limits visibility exiting their driveways and results in trash
and leaked oil in street, and toilet use of bushes; (2) at the curved part of l,arkspur,
parked vehicles prevent 2-way traffic and create a blind spot; and (3) request for
Stop sign at Linden instead of existing Yield sign to discourage speeders. Yield
sign is virtually ignored. Commission suggestions included: 6-foot height limit
sign, but vans are under 6 feet; no parking on one side of street, but any restriction
affects residents, too. Sgt. Tokarski suggested that enforcing the overnight parking
permit requirement might help; however, Larkspur residents would be required to

6.4 Request for Handicap Parking Space at 329 Primrose Road
From the floor, petitioner Paul Gumbinger spoke for Mrs. Fanucchi stating that
Meter #79 would be an ideal location for a handicap parking space on Primrose
Road - not only for the petitioner but for the sake of having a handicap space on
this block. Comm. Amoroso looked at the site earlier and agreed. Mr. Dellaway
recommended that this item become an Action Item and approved now. It was
moved and seconded (Comms. Mayer/Simonetti) to move this item to an Action
Item immediately. It was then moved and seconded (Comms. Mayer/Simonetti) to
approve this request. Unanimously approved by the Commission.
6.5 Request for Stop Sign at Intersection of Burlingame Avenue and East Lane
From the floor, petitioner Andrea Gordon advised that the crosswalk at this
location is not signed and motorists react as though they don't know if they should
stop or not for pedestrians. Use of crosswalk is high due to Calffain station
passengers so there is a need to enhance pedestrian and traffic safety in this area.
Comm. Amoroso looked at the site earlier and advised there is a yield sign on
Burlingame Avenue. Comm. Evans suggested everyone check out this site before
next month's meeting. It was moved and seconded (Comms. Evarx/Mayer) to move
this to an Action Item next month. Unanimously approved by the Commission.
7.INFORMATION ITEMS.
7.1 Mr. Dellaway advised that pedestrian pushbutton lighting has been budgeted for
California Drive at Carmelita and on Bayshore Highway at Hyatt Regency Hotel
location.

participate, too. Mr. Dellaway advised that Linden/l,arkspur didn't have enough
warrants for a Stop sign and there have been no accidents. Sgt. Tokarski will have
this area patrolled from 10:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. and will report their findings next
month. It was moved and seconded (Comms. Preger/Amoroso) to make this a
Discussion ltem next month. Unanimously approved by the Commission.
7 .2 Mr. Dellaway advised rubberized crossings will be installed this summer.
7.3 Sgt. Tokarski advised that Officer Tim Murphy will be substituting occasionally
for him at Commission meetings.
