AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT AMENDMENT NO. 2
FOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES

RESOLVED, by the CITY COUNCIL of the City of Burlingame, California and this
Council does hereby FIND, ORDER and DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
1. The public interest and convenience require execution of the agreement
amendment cited in the title above.
2. The City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to sign said agreement for and
on behalf of the City of Burlingame.
3. The City Clerk is hereby ordered an

THIS AGREEMENT, made in duplicate and entered into this 19TH day of OCTOBER, 1998,
by and between the CITY OF BURLINGAME, a municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as "CITY"
and CALLANDER ASSOCIATES hereinafter referred to as "CONSULTANT,"
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, CITY and CONSULTANT have previously entered into an agreement for certain
services, said agreement being dated AUGUST 4, 1997; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the parties to amend said agreement as hereinafter set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY AGREED AS FOLLOWS:
Amendment of Agreement
Said agreement dated AUGUST 4, 1997, is hereby amended to include those revisions
in services and compensation set forth in EXHIBIT "A", attached hereto.
and effect.
2. In all other respects said agreement dated AUGUST 4, 1997, shall remain in full force

construction administration services for the parking lot, we anticipate substantially
greater involvement during the construction of the top deck improvements than
the one visit per week originally budgeted. Assuming a nine month bidding and

4.3 Testing and Special lLisl2ection Services-, During the construction period of the top deck,
certain testing and special inspection services will be required of various subconsultants
to perform tasks such as:
a, rebar testing and review
b. concrete and related materials testing
c on site compaction testing
d. structural steel welding inspection, and
e. other related tasks.
To facilitate coordination and administration of these services, Callander
Associates shall contract with and coordinate their services with no mark-up
on their services, subject to written approval by the. City Engineer. City shall
not hold Callander Associates liable.for the.performance of these
strbconsultants. An initial budget shall beestablished in the amount of ................. $30,000.

Request for Additional Services - Burlingame Landfill' - Sports Center
( CA 97.054 ) for the period of January 1 through July 1, 1998.
In review of our original agreement I noticed that we had excluded interior
design of the Cafe and retail space. We have completed the design of Cafe, engaged
a food service consultant to assist with the food service equipment selection and
designed the retail cashwrap and basic layout. Our mechanical and electrical
consultants contributed additional engineering services as well. We therefore request
additional services as listed below:
