ORDINANCE AMENDING ANIMAL CONTROL FEES
The CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF BURLINGAME does
hereby ORDAIN as follows:
Section 1. Section 9.04.026-2 is hereby added to
the Burlingame Municipal Code to read as follows:
"9 04.026-2 Inspection Fee. A fee shall be
charged for the costs incurred by County for the inspection
or reinspection of property. The fee charged shall be paid
by the owner or person who has custody of the animal. Such
fee shall be set forth in Section 9.04.031."
Section 2. Section 9.04.026-3 is hereby added to
said code to read as follows:

Section 3. Section 9.04 026-4 is hereby added
to said code to read as follows:
"9.04.026-4 Service Fees Animal Control Service Fees
for redemption of impounded animals, relinquishment,

Field Return Fee.
A fee shall
be
charged
for
any animal
impounded by an
Animal Control
Officer
and
returned by
the officer in
the field to
the
owner or
person
who has
custody of the
animal. The
fee
charged
shall
be paid by
the owner or person who has
custody
of
the animal.
Such fee shall
be set forth
in
Section
9.04.031."
Section 3. Section 9.04 026-4 is hereby added
to said code to read as follows:
"9.04.026-4 Service Fees Animal Control Service Fees
for redemption of impounded animals, relinquishment,
adoption, disposal, abatement, rescue, veterinary treatment
or other services not specified in Section 9.04.031 shall
be reviewed by the Director of Community Services or his
designee for reimbursement costs. The Director of
Community Services or his designee shall have the authority
to determine the fee charged for said services. The fee
charged shall be paid by the owner or person who has
custody of animal(s) for which said services have been
provided."
Section 4. Section 9.04.031 of said code is
"9.04.031 Schedule of fees and charges. Fees
and charges referred to in this chapter are as follows:

required

was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council
held on the 20th day of August , 1990, and
adopted thereafter at a regular meeting of the City Council
