ORDINANCE No. 1441
ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING RESPONSIBILITY FOR SIDEWALK
REPAIRS FOR SINGLE FAMILY DWELLINGS
The CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF BURLINGAME does
hereby ordain as follows:
Section 1. Section 12.12.015 of the Burlingame
Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"12.12.015 Single family homes. If repairs or
reconstruction are necessary upon the sidewalk of a lot in
any zone which lot is occupied only by a single family
dwelling used for single family purposes, the property
owner shall be responsible for such repairs and
reconstruction only if the condition was the result of a
negligent or intentional act of the owner or tenant of the
property, their employees or agents."
Section 2. This ordinance shall be published as
required by law.
