ORDINANCE No. 1452
ORDINANCE LIMITING CONSTRUCTION HOURS ON HOLIDAYS
The CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF BURLINGAME does
hereby ordain as follows:
Section 1. Section 18.08.035 of the Burlingame
Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
1118.08.035 Construction hours. No person shall
erect (including excavation and grading), demolish, alter
or repair any building other than between the hours of
seven a.m. and seven p.m, on weekdays, eight a.m. and six
p.m. on Saturdays, and ten a.m. and six p.m. on Sundays and
holidays, except in the case of urgent necessity in the
interest of public health and safety, and then only with a
permit from the building inspector, which permit shall be
granted for a period not to exceed three days. For the
purpose of this section, holidays are the first day of
January, the third Monday of February, the last Monday of
May, the fourth day of July, the first Monday of September,
the eleventh day of November, the fourth Thursday in
November and the twenty-fifth day of December; if the first
day of January, the forth day of July, the eleventh day of
November, or the twenty-fifth day of December falls upon a
Sunday, the Monday following is a holiday."
