2 ORDINANCE No. 1486
3 ORDINANCE AMENDING
4 REQUIRED DISTANCE BETWEEN NEWSRACKS
5 The CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF BURLINGAME does
6 hereby ordain as follows:
7 Section 1. Section 12.23.070 (e) of the Burlingame
8 Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
9 "(e) Newsracks may be chained or otherwise attached to
10 each other to a maximum horizontal space for four publications.
11 Freestanding newsracks may be grouped to a maximum horizontal
12 space for four publications. A distance of not less than thirty -
13 six inches shall separate each such group of newsracks. On
14 streets with diagonal parking such separation shall, whenever
15 possible, be at the demarcation line between parking spaces."
16 Section 2. This ordinance shall be published as
17 required by law.

24 a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 7th day of
25 JUNE r 1993, and adopted thereafter at a regular
