ORDINANCE AMENDING EMERGENCY SERVICES PROCEDURES

SUCCESSION OF CHAIRMAN AND DIRECTOR
The CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF BURLINGAME does hereby ordain
as follows:
Section
1. Section 3.36.030
(A) of the Burlingame
Municipal Code is
hereby amended
to
read as follows:
"(A) The
city council;
the
chair shall be the mayor or
in the mayor's absence, the vice -mayor. If the mayor and vice -
mayor are both absent, the chair shall be the member of the city
council most senior in years of continuous service."
Section 2 Section 3.36.050 (C) of said code is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"(C) In the event that the director or assistant
director of emergency services is not available to perform his
duties the police chief, director of public works or senior
officer from the fire, police or public works department shall
assume the duties until relieved by a senior official."
Section 3. This ordinance shall be published as
required by law.
