ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
AMENDING TIME LIMIT PERIODS OF CHAPTER 13.36 FOR
STREETS IN THE BURLINGAME AVENUE BUSINESS DISTRICT AREA
The CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF BURLINGAME does hereby ordain as follows:
Section 1. The City Council has received the recommendation of the Traffic, Safety and
Parking Commission that the time limits for parking in the Burlingame Avenue Business District be
changed to allow longer parking on the side streets of Burlingame Avenue. This proposed change
will not affect loading and short term parking areas that are established on these streets, but is only
intended to increase current one-hour parking zones to two-hour zones on these side streets.
Section 2. Section 13.36.030 of the Municipal Code is amended to read as follows:
13.36.030 One-hour parking.
Except where designated for shorter term time periods, it is unlawful for any person to
park a vehicle for a period longer than one hour between the hours of eight a.m. and six p.m,
on any day, excepting Sundays and holidays, upon any part
of the following streets or portions
of streets:
(1) Broadway, between Rollins Road and the Southern Pacific right-of-way;
(2) Burlingame Avenue, from Cali
fornia Drive to El Camino Real;
(3) Californ
ia Drive, west side, from Douglas to Burlingame Avenue and from Carmelita
Avenue to Broadway;
(4)Carolan Avenue, east side, from Cadillac Way to Broadway;
(5) Ingold Road, north side, forty-eight feet west from the curb return of Rollins Road
to one hundred twenty-eight feet west from said curb return.

Section 3. Section 13.36.040 is amended to read as follows:
13.36.040 Two-hour parking,
Except where designated for shorter term time periods, it is unlawfut for any person to park
a vehicle for a longer period than two hours between the hours designated below on any day,
excepting Sundays and holidays, upon any part ofthe following streets, or portions of streets:
(a) Between eight a.m. to six p.m.:
(1) Adrian Road, west side, one hundred fifty-five feet southerly from the southeast end of
the curb return of David Road.
(2) Bayswater Avenue from EI Camino Real to Park Road; south side, from California Drive
to the Southern Pacific Railroad right of way;
(3) Bellevue Avenue, except the south side from Primrose Road to Almer Road;
(4) Burlingame Avenue, from Myrtle to Carolan Avenue; south side from Occidental to El
Camino Real;
(5) California Drive, west side, from Carmelita Avenue to three hundred feet south of
Sanchez Avenue; from Burlingame Avenue to Peninsula Avenue; from Oak Grove Avenue 400 feet
northwards to 755 California Drive, except areas designated for thirty minute parking;
(6) Capuchino Avenue fr
Drive;
om four hundred feet southerly to four hundred ninety-five feet
northerly of the centerline of Broadway;
(7) Carmelita Avenue, south side, from El Camino Real to Chula Vista Avenue;
(8) Carolan Avenue, west side, fr

from one hundred feet northerly of Toyon Drive to four hundred sixty feet nort

(19) Magnolia, west side, from Trousdale Drive to Plaza Lane;
(20) Occidental Avenue, from El Camino Real to Ralston Avenue;
(21) Paloma Avenue from three hundred ten feet southerly to one hundred thirty feet
northerly of the centerline of Broadway;
(22) Park Road, except the west side, from Howard Avenue to Bayswater Avenue; from
Burlingame Avenue to Howard Avenue;
(23) Primrose Road, west side, fr
om Floribunda Avenue to EI Camino Real; east side, from
Floribunda Avenue to one hundred twenty feet south of Howard Avenue;
(24) Ralston Avenue, fr
om Occidental Avenue to El Camino Real;
(25) Rollins Road from ninety feet nort
herly of Toyon Drive to four hundred sixty feet
northerly of Toyon Drive;
