ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
FIXING PARKING METER RATES ON BURLINGAME AVENUE BUSINESS
DISTRICT SIDE STREETS
The CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF BURLINGAME does hereby ordain as follows:
Section 1. The City Council has established parking zones with parking meters in certain
areas of the Burlingame Avenue Business District in order to encourage turnover of parking spaces
while ensuring convenient access to visitors and customers of the District. This ordinance is
intended to provide a uniform hourly charge for all two-hour parking meters on the side streets of
the District.
Section 2. Section 13.40.010 is amended to read as follows:
13.40.010 Parking meter zones.
The streets hereinafter described are defined and established as parking meter zones. The
parking of vehicles along such portions of said streets, and at such times as may be designated by
the city council, shall be controlled, regulated, and inspected with the aid of parking meters:
(1) Bellevue Avenue, south side, from Pri
mrose Road to Almer Road;
(2) Broadway from El Camino Real to California Drive;
(3) Burlingame Avenue from El Camino Avenue to California Drive;
(4) California Drive from Peninsula Avenue to Broadway;
(5) Capuchino Avenue from Lincoln Avenue to Carmelita Avenue;
(6) Carolan Avenue from South Lane to North Lane;
(7) Chapin Avenue, from Primrose Road to El Camino Real.
(8) Chula Vista Avenue from Broadway to Carmelita Avenue;
(9) Donnelly Avenue from Primrose Road to Lorton Avenue;
(10) Highland Avenue from Howard Avenue to California Drive and one parking space on
the southwest corner of highland at Howard;
(11) Howard Avenue from El Camino Real to Highland Avenue;
(12) Laguna Avenue from Lincoln Avenue to Carmelita Avenue;

(13) Lorton Avenue, Bellevue Avenue to Bayswater Avenue;
(14) Paloma Avenue from Lincoln Avenue to Carmelita Avenue;
(15) Park Road, from Burlingame Avenue to Bayswater Avenue;
(16) Primrose Road, from Bellevue Avenue to Bayswater Avenue;
(17) South Lane from Carolan Avenue to California Drive;
Section 3. The parking meter charge for two-hour parking meters in the public street
parking spaces described in Exhibit A hereto is fixed at twenty-five cents (25¢) per hour.
Section 4. Except as provided in Section 3 above, the parking meter rates elsewhere in
the City shall be as follows:
24 minute parking limit
1 hour parking limit
2 hour parking limit
Broadway and Burlingame Avenues:
10 cents for each 12 minutes
All other areas:
5 cents for each 12 minutes
Broadway and Burlingame Avenues:
25 cents for each hour
All other areas:
5 cents for each 30 minutes
All areas excepts except for Burlingame Avenue Business
Distri

shall be published as
required by law.
