HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 0901AMENialNG �13.32,asa �F TxE MUNzcIPAl, CODE REGlULATING OVERNIGHT PARKING ON CITY STREETS THE cITY COUNCIL cr< TxE czTY ®P Bu�LZNGAM�: DaEs c AIN As POLt,a�rs ; Section 1; $13,32.x80 of the Municipal Code is amended to read and provide as follows: tPg13,32,0�0 fDve•rnight parking, A, PEl1th1T P.Ei�UIP�LLt: It shall be unlawful for the owner or driver of any vehicle to park such vehicle upon any street or alley in the city between the hours of two a,m, and six a,m, without a permit therefor, B, ISSUATdCE (1P PERMIT, In cases of hardship where the owners of vehicles cannot obtain suitable storage or parking facilities, permits for parking between two am,m, and six a.m, may be issued by the Chief of Police. The application for a permit shall be signed by the applicant, shall state the make, model and license number of the vehicle and shall contain a statement of the necessity and reasons for the permit. If, upon investigation, it is found that the necessity exists therefor and that the applicant has no reason- able means for night storage of the vehicle during the above stated hours, the Chief of Police shall issue the permit for an annual or semi-annual period, as the applicant may request, based upon a calendar year. The fee for such permit shall be $4,00 payable annually in advance or $2,x0 payable semi-annually in advanea, to the Chie£ of Police, - 1 - The permit shall not be transferable and shall be disw played on the left side window to the rear of the driver of the vehicle for which it is issued at all time during which the vehicle is parked upon the street between the hours of two a.m. and six a.m. The Chief of Police shall revoke the permit when the necessity under which it was issued and the reasons therefor cease to exist or may renew such permit if the hardship still exists.
