AMENDING §23,04.070 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
REGULATING THE WATER SUPPLY TO SWIMMING
POOLS
The City Council o£ the City o£ Burlingame does ordain as
follows:
Section 1. Section 23.04.070 0£ the Municipal Code of
the City of Burlingame is amended to read and provide:
'°§23.04.070 DTater Supply
There shall be no inlet connection between any domestic
water supply line and any circulating pump, filter, water
softener, or other apparatus or device that comes in con-
tact with the water in or from the pool„ Backflow protec-
tion shall be provided between the domestic water supply
and any connection with the pool water supply.
Construction of the pool shall be in such manner that no
splash water or deck water shall return to the pool. Any
drain line or backwash line for the pool shall be connected
to the sanitary sewer with an air -gap separation in such
line except that a separation tank approved by the Build-
ing Official may be used in lieu of such sewer connection
when properly connected as a reclamation system. For the
purpose of this section, a separation tank, also called a
reclamation tank, is a device which separates and removes
sludge and waste filter material from waste water and
returns the clarified water to the pool."
Section 2. This ordance shall be published as required
by law.
