The City Council of the City of Burlingame does ordain

"Sec. 1$,26.010 Adoption of Test of Eational Electrical
Code and of San Mateo County Ordinance No. 2040.
There is hereby adopted for the purpose of prescribing
regulations safeguarding persons and buildings and their
electricity for light,

power.,
radio,
signaling,
and for other purposes,
that
certain
code

Association at its annual meeting, May 20-24, 1968, and
also Ordinance No. 2040 adopted by the Board of

of the State of California, all certified, to be true copies
by the City Clerk, were on file in the office of the City
Clerk and, open to public inspection at least fifteen (15) days
preceding the hearing; that said notice contained a description
of the purpose and the subject matter of the National Electrical

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that. on Monday, the 5th day of
October, 1970, at the hour of 8 o°clock p.m. in the Council
Chambers of the City Hall at 501 Primrose Road, Burlingame, Cali-
fornia, a hearing will be held on the proposed ordinance referred
to in the title to this notice, providing a complete regulation of
wiring and electrical construction and installation in the City of
Burlingame by adopting by reference the National Electrical Code,
1968 Edition, as published by the National Fire Protection Associ-
ation, and the appendices printed therein, as the same is modified
by Ordinance No. 2040 of the County of San Mateo, a political sub-
division of the State of California adopted on April 21, 1970, as
and for the rules, regulations and standards of the City of Bur-
lingame as to all matters therein contained, except as otherwise
provided in said Ordinance No. 9s?6 and providing that said
National Electrical Code, 1968 Edition, as modified by Ordinance
igo. 2040 of the County of San Mateo, and said Ordinance No. 9"6
shall become a part of the Burlingame Municipal Code.
Said National Electrical Code® 1968 Edition, as modified
by said Ordinance No. 2040 of the County of San Mateo, provides
rules, regulations and standards for electrical wiring, construc-
tion, installation and equipment, wiring design and protection,
wiring methods and materials, electrical equipment for general use
special occupancies, special equipment, special conditions and
communications systems.
Three copies each of the code and of the ordinance to be
adopted by reference are on file in the office of the City Clerk,

City Hall, 501 Primrose Road, Burlingame, California, and are
available for public inspection.
