COUNTY CONTRIBUTION. County's proceeds from, its tran- sient occupancy tax shall be placed in an advertising fund in the County treasury to be used as hereinafter set forth. 2. CITY CONTRIBUTION. Twenty-five percent (25J) of City's proceeds from its transient occupan cy tax shall be remitted. to County to be placed in said fund. Sixty days following the end of each fiscal quarter City shall transmit to County said, percentage of its receipts from said tax for such quarter, provided, however, City's maximum contribution shall be $10,000.00 per year, and a maximum quarterly payment of $2,500.00. 3• USE OF FUNDS. BUDGET COMMITTEE. Such funds shall be used for the promotion and servicing of conventions and tourism on a 1. County -wide basis through the Fair and Convention Association, by agreement between County and said Association. A budget committee consisting of a representative of the County and each participating City shall be established and will have final approval of the City's portion of the total expenditure program financed from said adver- tising fund. In the event of termination of said use of the adver- t ising fund, a pro -rata of any unexpended funds shall be returned to City. 4. ACCOUNTING BY COUNTY. The County shall provide strict accountability for all funds raised pursuant to this agreement and shall compile periodic reports of all receipts and disbursements of such funds raised. 5. CANCELT.ATION. In the event that two-thirds of the cities within the County which have adopted a transient occupancy tax ordinance do not execute this agreement, City may notify County of its intention to cancel this agreement. Said cancellation shall be effective thirty days from receipt of said notice by County. City may also cancel this agreement effective July 1 of any year upon written notice to the County not less than thirty days prior thereto. "County11 COUNTY OF` SA Ch an, Board of.j9upervisors "City" OTTY OF_BURLINGAME (Title) RESOLUTION NO. 25400 BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA H H dk RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT y CONCERNING TRANSIENT OCCUPANCY TAX RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of ^� San Mateo, State of California, that �_ REAS, Government Code Section 51030 allows any city or county to levy a tax on the privilege of occupying a room or rooms in a hotel, inn, tourist home or house, raotel or other lodging, unless such occupancy is for any period of more than thirty days; and WHEREAS, the CITIES OF BURLINGAME, DALY CITY, HALF MOON �1 BAY, MILLBRAE, SAN BRUNO AND SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO have adopted substantially similar ordinances establishing such a tax within their respective jurisdictions, and it is the intention of said Cities and the County to enter into agreements pursuant to Govern - 4 n ment Code Sections 66500 et seq. for the use of certain of said tax receipts, and agreements providing therefor have been pre- si, sented to this Board of Supervisors- NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED AND DETERMINED that the Chairman of this Board of Supervisors be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreements for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo and the Clerk of this kBoard shall attest his signature thereto.
