The Board of Administration, Public Employees Retirement System, hereinafter
referred to as Board, and the CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF Bu7?ZIIdGi�I<il., hereinafter
referred to as Public Agency, having entered rota a contract under date of July 6,
1942, effective July 1, 191+2, and as amended effective February 1, 1954; July ly
1956, April 1, 1963, March 1, 1964, April 1, 196$' March lb, T967, and November 1,
1968, which provides for participation of Public �.gency in said System, Board and
,Public Agency hereby agree as follows:
A, The .following subparagraph shall be added to Paragraph 7 of said Contract:
7 (9) Section 21365.5 (providing a monthly allowance in lieu cf the
basic death benefit for certain surv�.vors of a member who dies
in employment after qualifying for voluntary service retirement).
$. Paragraphs 8 (a) and 8 (b) shall be stricken from said .Contract and the
following paragraphs substituted therefor:
8 (a) With respect to miscellaneous members, the public agency shall
contribute the following percentages of monthly salaries earned
as miscellaneous riembers of said System:
(1) 1.930 percent until June 30, 1972 on account of the liability
for prior service benefits.
(2) 8.076 percent on account of the liability for current service
benefits.
8 (a) With respect to local safety members, the public agency shall con-
tribute the following nercenta.ges of monthly salaries earned as
local safety members. of said system:
(1} 3.519 percent until June 30, 1y72 on account of the liability
for prior service benefits.
(2) 14.344 percent on account of the liability for current service
benefits.
C. This amendment shall be attached to said Contract znd shall beccme effec-
tive on the day of
