HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 15901 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 111 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 ORDINANCE NO. 1590 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME AMENDING MUNICIPAL CODE SECTIONS 13.20.010 AND 13.20.030 AND APPROVING STOP SIGNS ON BURLINGAME AVENUE AND EAST LANE AT THEIR INTERSECTION WITH CAROLAN AVENUE The CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF BURLINGAME does hereby ordain as follows: Section 1. The City has received a petition from a resident asking for stop signs at the intersection of Burlingame Avenue, East Lane, and Carolan Avenue. Although the intersections do not meet City warrants for accidents or traffic volume, the Traffic, Safety and Parking Commission recommended approval of stops signs on Burlingame Avenue and East Lane, because of high use of the nearby crosswalk by transit riders and students, the intersection is confusing, and unrestricted movements create a potential safety problem.. Section 2. Section 13.20.010 is amended to read as follows: 13.20.010 Stop intersections. Bellevue Avenue approaching Primrose Road after entering the center islands from either direction; California Drive approaching Bellevue Avenue; California Drive northerly turn onto eastbound Oak Grove Avenue; Chapin Lane approaching Pepper Avenue; Clarendon approaching Dwight; Concord Way approaching Bloomfield Road; Lexington Way approaching Dwight Road; Primrose Road approaching Floribunda Avenue; Vernon Way approaching Bloomfield.
