AMENDING §25.28.070
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE REGULATING
HEIGHT OF STRUCTURES
IN R-1 (FIRST RESIDENTIAL)DISTRICTS
The City Council of the City of Burlingame does ordain
as follows:
Section l: Amendment. §25.28.070 of the Burlingame
Municipal Code is amended to read as follows:
§25.28.070. Height limitations. No building
shall be constructed, altered, or maintained in
an R-1 District, which exceeds two and one-half
(2-1/2) stories or thirty (30) feet in height,
whichever is greater, with the following excep-
tions:
1. On lots that slope downward more than
twenty-five percent (250} toward the rear from
the street line, the height of the building
shall not exceed two (2) stories or twenty (20)
feet above the curb level, irrespective of the
number of stories at the rear of the building.
2. On lots that slope upward toward the
rear from the street line, the maximum height of
the building shall be two and one-half (2-1/2)
stories or thirty (30) feet above mean grade a-
long the fifteen (15) foot setback line.
Section 2: Publication. This ordinance shall be

Burlingame, do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was

introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the
4th day of February o 1974, and adopted thereafter
at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 19th day
of February , 1974, by the following vote:
