ORDINANCE OF TAE CITY OF BURLINGAME DELETING SECTION 6.08.090
TO CONFORM BUSINESS LICENSE CODE TO MEASURE Q ADOPTED ON

NOVEMBER 6, 2001

The CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF BURLINGAME does hereby ordain as follows:

Section 1. On November 6, 2001, the voters of the City of Burlingame adopted
7
Measure Q, establishing a business license tax for commercial parking facilities in the City.

This ordinance is intended to provide the transition between the existing business license tax
9
on airport parlang facilities, which is being repealed by this ordinance, and the business license
10
tax adopted by Measure Q. Any business subject to both taxes should only be required to pay
11
once, and because the tax rates of each tax are the same, this ordinance will accomplish that
12
purpose.

Section 2. Section 6.08.090 is repealed except for purposes of payment and collection
15
of taxes on gross receipts under Section 6.08.090 received by an airport parking facility on or
16
before November 30, 2001.

Section 3.

(a) No taxes under Section 6.08.090 shall be due and payable on any gross receipts
20
received by an airport parking facility after November 30, 2001. Taxes due and payable under
21
Section 6.08.090 for gross receipts received during the months of October and November of
22
2001 shall be due and payable no later than January 31, 2002.

(b) Taxes due and payable under Section 6.08.085 for gross receipts received during the
24
month of December 2001 shall be due and payable no latex than January 31, 2002. Taxes due
25
and payable under Section 6.08.085(d) for calendar quarters shall commence withthe beginning
26
of the calendar year 2002, with the first quarterly payment for 2002 due and payable no later
27
than AprIl 30, 2002.

I Section 4. This ordinance relates to taxes for the usual and current expenses of the City
2 and shall be effective immediately, and shall be published as required by law.

7 the foregoing ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the
8 19°i day of November, 2001, and adopted thereafter at a regular meeting of the City Council held
