In 1998, the City adopted overnight parking restrictions on the east side of California Drive between Oak Grove Avenue and Sanchez Avenue in Ordinance No. 1585. However, that was directed at the storage of large commercial trucks. Parking in the neighborhood is very much needed, so if overnight parking is allowed with a height restriction on vehicles, the public interest would be better served. In addition, businesses along the west side of California Drive need parking that turns over so that customers can reach the businesses. Section 2. Subsection 13.36.020(5) is amended to read as follows: (5) California Drive, west side from Juanita Avenue to Broadway between seven a.m. and nine a.m. and between four p.m. and six Section 3. Subsection 13.36.040(a)(6) is amended to read as follows: (6) California Drive, west side, from Carmelita Avenue to Palm Drive; fr minute parking; om Burlingame Avenue to Peninsula Avenue; from Oak Grove Avenue 400 feet northwards to 755 Californ ia Drive, except areas designated for thirty Section 4. This ordinance shall be published as required by law. Mayor I, ANN T.
