HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 17571 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 ORDINANCE NO. 1757 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME AMENDING SECTION 10.58.030 TO CLARIFY APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR ADULT-ORIENTED BUSINESS PERMITS The City Council of the City of Burlingame does ordain as follows: Section 1. In 2004, the City Council adopted extensive amendments to the City laws governing adult-oriented businesses. As part of that change, such businesses must be located at certain distances from other such businesses and from schools, churches, and athletic fields. To assist in evaluating the business permit, the Code requires the applicant to provide information on nearby schools, athletic fields, and residential uses. In order to ensure a consistency in distance between the information and the limitations, the Code should be amended to require information out to 1,000 feet from the business. Section 2. Subsection 10.58.030(h) is amended to read as follows: (h) A certificate and straight-line drawing prepared within thirty (30) days prior to the application that depicts the geographic location of the adult-oriented business with the following: (1) The building and the port ion thereof to be occupied by the adult-oriented business; and (2) The property lines of any other adult-oriented business within 1,000 feet of the primary entrance of the adult-oriented business for which the business permit is being requested; and (3) The propert requested. y lines of any school, athletic field, residential zone, or residential use within 1,000 feet of the primary entrance of the adult-oriented business for which the business permit is Section 3.
